fgmnt Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 01/12/2025

At fgmnt, we’re committed to making creativity accessible to everyone.

We want all users - including people with disabilities - to be able to use our website, tools, and community features without barriers.

This Accessibility Statement explains what we’re doing to support accessibility, where we’re still improving, and how you can reach us if you need help.

fgmnt is operated by Virulence Industries Ltd.

1. OUR COMMITMENT

We aim to meet or exceed the standards defined in:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)

  • UK Equality Act 2010

  • EU Web Accessibility Directive, where relevant

We want fgmnt to be usable with screen readers, keyboard navigation, assistive technologies, and a wide range of devices.

2. STEPS WE'RE TAKING

We are actively working to improve accessibility across all areas of the service.

This includes:

Clear, readable text

Using easy-to-understand language and accessible font choices.

Keyboard navigation

Ensuring key functionality can be accessed without a mouse.

Screen reader compatibility

Supporting assistive technologies such as NVDA, VoiceOver, and JAWS.

Colour contrast and visual clarity

Choosing colours and layout options that are clear and readable.

Responsive design

Optimising the site for mobile, tablet, and desktop users.

Alt text and semantic structure

Providing descriptive text and HTML structure where possible.

Continuous testing

Regularly reviewing fgmnt against accessibility best practices.

3. AI TOOLS AND ACCESSIBILITY

Our AI-powered content tools are designed to be usable by as many creators as possible.

We continue to refine:

  • Focus states

  • Form labels

  • Input field accessibility

  • Help text and error messages

If you encounter issues when using the AI interface or need an alternative format, please let us know.

4. PLATFORMS WE RELY ON

Some parts of the fgmnt experience use third-party systems, including:

  • WIX (community features + payments)

  • Discourse (community platform, coming soon)

  • Azure (hosting)

While we do not control their accessibility standards, we choose platforms that are committed to accessibility and industry best practices.

5. ONGOING IMPROVEMENTS

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We are continually working to:

  • Identify and fix issues as the platform evolves

  • Improve compatibility with assistive technologies

  • Train our team on accessibility best practices

  • Review new features for inclusive design before launch

If you notice something we can improve, we want to hear from you.

6. FEEDBACK AND SUPPORT

If you experience any difficulty using fgmnt or want to request accessible materials, you can reach us at:

reach@virulenceindustries.com

We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Please include:

  • A description of the problem

  • The page or feature involved

  • Any assistive technology you're using (optional)

Your feedback directly helps us make fgmnt better for everyone.

7. FORMAL COMPLAINTS

If you feel we haven’t addressed your accessibility concerns, you may have the right to escalate the issue depending on your location:

  • UK: Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS)

  • EU: Local enforcement body under the Web Accessibility Directive

  • US: The Office for Civil Rights (OCR)

We encourage you to contact us first so we can quickly resolve the issue.

THANK YOU

Accessibility is central to our mission of helping creators everywhere bring their ideas to life.

Thank you for helping us build a platform that’s welcoming, inclusive, and open to all.
